Jacobsen signs new Gunners deal

Scotland international Allan Jacobsen has signed a new deal with Edinburgh Gunners.

The 27-year-old has penned a two-year contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2008.
Jacobsen said: ``I'm very happy to have signed again with Edinburgh. I've been with the club for my whole career as a professional player and I'm really enjoying all that is happening at the moment. We have a great squad and I think we are capable of achieving a lot over the coming seasons.''

Edinburgh interim head coach Todd Blackadder added: ``I'm very pleased that Allan sees his future with the Edinburgh Gunners. It's a very important signing because he is a quality player and a great team man. He has so much more to give this club having been a cornerstone of our pack in recent years. We all look forward to seeing what he can do at this club over the next two years.''
