How the Magners League Champions are decided
Each Team plays every other Team in the Tournament twice a season on a home and away basis.

In all matches, four points are awarded for a win and two for a draw.

A team scoring four or more tries in a game are awarded a bonus point, while and another bonus point is also awarded to any team losing by seven points or less.

The winner and all placings in the Magners League will be decided on the number of League points. If two or more Teams have the same number of points their placings will be determined by the following basis in descending order;
• number of matches won;
•  points scored difference;
• the number of tries scored;
• the most points scored;
• the difference between tries for and tries against;
• If Teams are still equal the title will be decided by a play-off match, while for other placings it will be dependent upon the fewest number of red and yellow cards received.
